Twitter is one of the best and largest social media network in terms of job hunting online. With its immense connection and interaction power, this social networking site gives you a great chance to find and land a perfect job.
Here are few tips and tricks on how to use Twitter as a job hunting tool.
Follow Users That Are Connected To A Certain Company You Want To Work To/With
Most of the time, people inside or connected the company do always tweet about their job hiring even before it hits online job sites or advertise it in printed materials. With you knowing the hiring the earliest, you got a chance to be the first one to submit your resume and probably get hired for the job. Even if you don't know the person, twitter gives you the power to follow him/her out, so why not take advantage of this and wait for them (or ask/mention them) to tweet about it.
Optimize Your Profile Twitter allows your to introduce yourself in few words via your profile. Use this space to highlight your skills and expertise that a prospect employer may look at. Make this space as your selling point that highlights your skills.
Need A Job? Tweet About It! For sure, it wont hurt your pride or ego to let your twitter followers know that you need a job desperately! I might be exaggerating there but yes, tweeting about you needing a job and asking for help is a great way to get a serious job. You never know if one of your follower's relatives or friends knows a job hiring that suits your skills. Besides, there is no harm in asking right?
Check The Trending Topics This one might be a bit connected or similar with the tip above. If you wanna extend more your job hunting act, then ride with the trending topics. First and foremost, be sure to check what is trending locally or at your country. If you are living in the Philippines, then it's best to choose Philippines as your trending topic settings to further take advantage of this method.
Following the tip above, you only have to add a trending topic word or hashtag that suits or compatible with your job hunting tweet. For example, you tweeted "I am in need of a job related to video games", and one of the trending topic is "video game tester jobs", then you may add the words "video game tester jobs" next to your original tweet. This tweet of yours will not only be seen by your followers, but by all people who follows the trending topic "video game tester jobs" as well. Who knows, a possible employer might be watching that topic.
Using Hashtags (#) are a possible engaging tactic with your job hunting tweet as well. Along with your original tweet (using the example above), adding something like #jobneeded #ineedajob can work wonders for you. Just like the trending topic, this kind of tweet can be seen by lots of people who watch and follow that hashtag religiously and a possible employer might be watching this topic.
Use Twitter Job Hunting Search Engines You may also want to use job hunting search engines made specifically for twitter tweets. Here are some of the best job search engine for Twitter that lots of companies and employers are now using to post and advertise their job hiring.
I hope the above tips works for you. I know that they are kind of basic but I am quite sure, it can help you. Always remember that everything you tweet will be you and yourself. So if you are using your twitter profile in your job hunting, you might double check and triple think those thoughts you wanted to tweet. It's best to tweet positive things to get positive vibes and in the end, positive score from your soon-to-be employer who might hire you because of your profile in Twitter and the tweets you shared or posted.

Featured Blog #15. One of the best travel and photography blog owned by a well traveled young lady who writes about her adventures from Asia, Middle East and Europe.
Category/Niche: Travel, Photography, Lifestyle
Blog description: My blog is my diary of personal experiences and my travel tales through my pictures. I am presently celebrating my blog’s 100,000 page views, even until now it still amazes me to know that people are visiting my blog. There is something about this blog that lures people to come back and I know it’s not my words but my pictures. So I will continue feeding their fantasy through my photos.
About the blogger:
I am a CPA by profession. I’ve never been a writer but I love photography so even until now with my blogging gig, I still don’t consider myself a writer. I have a day job 8 hours a day, 6 days a week , I run an online shop (http://homefashionshoppe.multiply.com/), I contribute articles at DigitalSpidey.com, I blog when I can, travel when I have the time, I’m a proud home owner, and the most rewarding of all, I’m a daughter/sister/auntie/girlfriend/friend 24/7.
What is the inspiration behind her blog and how long has it been around?
My blog is almost 9 months old. Few weeks of blogging and I got a good review from a foreign blogger saying that I am a “well-traveled and excellent photographer “and gave me my first backlink too. It inspired me so much to continue with my blogging.
How did she get into blogging?
Blogging is an alien world to me actually. My passion for photography and travel has started as a personal thing not to be shared outside my circle of friends and acquaintances. One time I traveled to Boracay for my bday celebration last year and I met a very inspiring lady. We spent time together and I told her about my travels and places I’ve been to and she asked me how come I’m not blogging and I told her that it’s not my thing. We went out sailing one day and we had a near death experience, I had barter with God that if I survived that ordeal I will blog, so here I am... blogging!
What is her favorite blog post and why?
It would be my “Dream Big and Make it Happen” post, for someone as private as me who does not have writing skills, writing something about myself and my beginnings has not been an easy task. I was expecting “negative” comments but instead I got “thank you’s”. Even until now I am humbled to get emails and comments of thank you’s for inspiring people. It is more rewarding for me than the good comments I’m getting for my photos.
Advice/tip she can give to new bloggers to succeed in blogging.
Blog to share your passion and everything will follow. Fulfillment in doing something does not come with financial gains alone, but the rewards of someone appreciating what you are doing and being inspired by your work. So take a deep breath and show the world what you got and wait.. just wait and you will be rewarded with more than what you have imagined. Goodluck!

Shipment by Sea
Senders and recipients need to understand that there are options during shipment. Majority of companies focuses on shipping goods by land or sea. Having these two options will give opportunities for customers to prioritize important documents and products. Others usually send items for personal and business needs. Today, the rise of the shipping industry is evident especially for product and document handling. Shipment by sea may require special requirements since the containers must be of good quality. Remember that these will carry fragile and heavier items. Customers need to consider prices, time frame of shipment and overall service.
Shipment by Sea
In every shipment, customers are always conscious of the latest prices. To further understand the changes in rates, people must see the breakdown of important details. Of course, rates usually vary in various countries.
U.S. Business Services - $1-5,000/cubic meter (Maersk)
Sea freight from Shenzhen to Johannesberg - $10- $50 per cubic meter (CMA, MSC and Maersk)
International shipping rate – US $3 to $10 per kilogram (DHL)
The details above are just a few things you need to take note. The type of containers that will be used for shipment plays a significant role in protecting products. When buying shipping containers, people must observe the length, width and its total capacity. If you are really looking at the real quality of containers, consider buying the new ones. Unfortunately, many people today are on a tight budget. Buying second hand containers is optional. Don’t worry because the prices are lower than newer containers. Before the actual shipment takes place, others must properly check the exact parts of containers. The edges and portions at the bottom are very important.
Choose the Shipping Company
Getting the value of money is still important these days so a reputable shipping company should be on top of the list when a shipment occurs. Delays are killers of businesses and relationships so experiencing a great service should always be seen. In sea freight, there are already reported cases regarding lost and damaged goods. The main purpose of contacting a reputable firm is to secure complete commodities. People can never tell the risks involved especially when shipping items by sea. Huge companies usually have reliable vessels that are responsible for transporting heavier containers. These are perfectly placed in a location where there are no chances of getting them misplaced or broken.
Easy Inquiry
If people hate to spend too much time traveling, the options are getting in touch via phone and email. There is an online price quote especially for customers who are trying to manage their limited budget. Most companies allow people to navigate their websites in order to check the services and current prices. Again, prices are different in each shipping company and it depends on the services acquired.
It is still safe to pick a company that has a proven track record in shipping sensitive items. The choices have to be made by customers. Don’t just rely on reviews alone and consider the previous services provided by the firm. These may answer all the questions.

Well, the issue of plagiarism has been as issue to Senator Tito Sotto's anti-RH speech that was copied from Sarah's blog, a US blogger. He denied copying it to "The Healthy Home Economist", insisting that both of them took it from the same source, Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride. Oh well, whatever his lame excuses are, it just shows how ignorant he is about plagiarism and blogging and most of all he hired incompetent staffs who doesn't know how to prepare an original speech for him.
This issue has come to Sarah's attention already and she made a blog post about it, http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/on-plagiarism-the-pill-and-presumptuousness/. Sarah commented on his own post pertaining to the Senator "My blog was quoted, not Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride, I put her works in my own words and you copied my words".
Sotto's speech
1 According, to Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride MD, use of other drugs such as the Pill also cause severe gut dybiosis. What’s worse, drug induced gut imbalance is especially intractable and resistant to treatment either with probiotics or diet change.
2 gut imbalance brought on through use of The Pill negatively impacts the ability to digest food and absorb nutrients. As a result, even if a women eats spectacularly well during pregnancy, if she has been taking oral contraceptives for a period of time beforehand, it is highly likely that she and her baby are not reaping the full benefits of all this healthy food as the lack of beneficial flora in her gut preclude this from occurring.
3 Pathogenic, opportunistic flora that take hold in the gut when The Pill is used constantly produce toxic substances which are the by-products of their metabolism. These toxins leak into the woman’s bloodstream and guess what, they have the potential to cross the placenta! Therefore, gut dysbiosis exposes the fetus to toxins
4 Not well known is the fact that use of The Pill depletes zinc in the body. Zinc is called “the intelligence mineral” as it is intimately involved in mental development. see original post -http://filipinofreethinkers.org/2012/08/15/sottos-reckless-method-of-legislation-is-inexcusable/

Featured Blog #14. When it comes to restaurant and food review, nothing beats Purple Doll. The blog posts are all well written by Sumi Go, a 21 year old writer and photographer.
Category/Niche: Food
Blog description: The Purple Doll is a personal-turned-food blog detailing the doll's food adventures as she explores Metro Manila’s restaurants, buffets, cafés and even food stalls. It houses not just informative and entertaining food reviews, but also a treat for the hungry eyes.
Initially though, The Purple Doll was an online creative outlet for Sumi's photography, writing itch and random ramblings. But amidst her scattered thoughts, the foodie in her prevailed, making The Purple Doll what it is today.
About the blogger:
Sumi is a jack of all trades, or so she believes. She loves to write, a passion which she discovered when she joined the school publication back in elementary. She also has a strong interest in photography, as well as in web and graphic design.
Prior to her blogging days, Sumi enjoyed cosplaying, as well as singing Japanese and Korean songs on Youtube.
What is the inspiration behind her blog and how long has it been around?
The Purple Doll has been in the cyberspace for barely 10 months. From the blog name, you can already infer that Sumi wanted it to become her online diary and creative outlet.
How did you she into blogging?
While waiting for her graduation back in October 2011, Sumi started The Purple Doll blog to pass the time. Little did she know that she'll grow attached to the wonders of blogging and will continue to do it even while working.
What is her favorite blog post and why?
Sumi makes an effort to always put her best in every post that she publishes. And with a continuously growing number of restaurant reviews, it's hard to choose one which she deems to stand out.
However if she really has to choose, it'd be Intramuros: Reliving Stories of the Walled City, Sumi's travel write-up entry for the Intramuros Bloggers Challenge 2012 and a post which won her the photography challenge from the same competition.
Advice/tip she can give to new bloggers to succeed in blogging.
I may be a newbie to the blogsphere, but I'd like to remind my fellow bloggers to keep the flame alive. If you have the passion, nurture it and you'd not only be successful but will also continuously be happy with blogging. Of course, make sure to stay personable and never ever step on someone's toes.
Whether you're a blogger or have a start-up company, it's essential for you to have a good social proof.
And one significant metric is for you to have a good social media presence in the web. But what if you're struggling to gain fans and followers in the social networks. You have two basic online ways to choose.
First, you can use paid advertising like Google Adwords and Facebook Ads.
But if you're someone who don't want or have budget to support this type of campaign, you can choose to grow organic social following by consistently create compelling content in your site or blog.
The second option is what I'm doing in my blog. This option is worthwhile to do but honestly, it takes time to attract significant numbers of social following and you need to be strategic, as well.
Fortunately, there's another smart and effective way without spending any money on ads and lessen your time of waiting to gain fans and followers, which are perfectly fit for struggling bloggers and start-up companies.
Recently, I found Keeko, a social media exchange webtool that lets you grow your social following organically with real active users. You can get Facebook likes and Twitter followers on Keeko by liking, tweeting and following suggested entries once you sign-up in their website. Keeko works on point system. This means you need to earn your points first before you can get Facebook likes and earn Twitter followers.
Moreover, Keeko also supports Google plus exchange and LinkedIn connections.
Keeko is owned by Clicking Lab, a diverse team of creative web professionals, which is founded in Ottawa Canada and has expanded their operations to Cebu, Philippines last 2011. Recently, Keeko is featured in Yahoo! News.
What do you think? Will you give it a try?
Do you know other ways to increase social media presence?
Let's go social in the comment section!

High PageRank and Alexa Rank are important to those accepting paid post from the direct advetisers. For years, I am trying my best to increase my PageRank and so far so good. I am no SEO expert so I have a hard time ranking my sites. I may not have PR3 or up yet but I am working on it by following other bloggers tips. Hopefully, something positive will happen. Site PageRank depends a lot on the number of unique pages linking to your site. A high number of back links, can expect a high PageRank as far as I know.

Create a twitter account to connect with friends and co blogger, install a twitter widget in your blog post for tweet. Twitter delivered traffic, guest writers and backlinks to our site. Promoting posts was a secondary aim.
Submit to Search Engine Directories.
I am not always doing it, but I heard that submitting the site to search engine directories increase your chances at being listed higher on popular search engines, a good way to get a free link to your website. The more links you have the higher your PR will be.
Guest Post
Writing and publishing articles to another sites can generate new traffic. Make sure to include your name and blog URL in your article. By guest posting you will get exposure for your work, get traffic and back links.

The lack of positive posts about South Cotabato online way back 2010, our numerous local tourist attractions and the people of South Cotabato, they are my inspirations why I continue blogging. Posting about positive things in the province and getting positive responses from my kababayans motivates me and makes me love what I am doing.
How did he get into blogging?
Way back 2010, I created South Cotabato Tambayan, a social networking site using the NING platform, it was a hit that many of my fellow South Cotabateños have joined especially from abroad. Most of them were OFW's, they started asking me for updates of what is happening around the province, news, etc., and from then on, I begun posting updates, photos and stuffs. I then created a site on blogspot, South Cotabato News and still using it up to now. I want my fellow South Cotabateños to be informed and to help in the promotion of our beautiful province, there are lots of positive things that still needs to be posted online about South Cotabato.
What is his favorite blog post and why?
My favorite blog post so far is my list of 10 Things to do in South Cotabato. Through that post I was able once again let the whole world wide web knew that South Cotabato has a lot of things to offer them when they came for a visit.

I promised my kids that we will be going to Dallas, Texas to visit the Dallas Zoo and the Dallas World Aquarium on Spring break. Dallas is only 3 hours or 150 miles away from my house. I can drive as long as I have the GPS but lucky me, hubby was available that day so he did all the driving. We made it to the zoo but unfortunately not at the aquarium, the place was so crowded and the line for the ticket booth was so long so hubby decided to leave to go back some other day.
Dallas Zoo, founded in the spring of 1888 when a man from Colorado City offered to sell two deer and two mountain lions to the City of Dallas and placed them in the City park, the first city-owned and operated park. Although the Zoo was a very popular attraction, City Park lacked sufficient space to house all of the animals properly and citizens voiced interest in a more fully developed zoo. It was later moved to Fair Park in 1909, making it the second home of the Dallas Zoo.
Due to an expanding and prosperous State Fair, in 1912, the Zoo was removed from Fair Park and relocated to its current location Marsalis Park (purchased by the City in 1909) in Oak Cliff. The Zoo grew rapidly and a large and varied collection of animals were obtained mostly through donations from civic groups and private citizens. The Zoo then became an educational facility rather than a mere collection of assorted animals.

When I was new to blogging. I always find my posts after publishing with highlight marks. I did not know how to remove and even Google for it to find solution. But I can't find any tutorials so I just let it be. Then after a year of blogging I figured out how to solve this problem.
Removing the highlight is so easy and I know that some bloggers are still having problem with this. Here is the three simple steps that should be done to have good looking post.
1. Highlight the part of the post that needs correction.
2. Then click on the "REMOVE FORMATTING" icon.
3. Click on " PREVIEW" to check.
When you're done. Check the "TEXT BACKGROUND COLOR" and it should look like this.
Make sure to use the "PREVIEW" always before publishing your post.

My desire to write and start a blog was a challenge of my writing skills when Negros Bloggers President H. James Toga added me to Negros Bloggers closed group in Facebook, wherein good writers, good bloggers chatted regularly, especially at night. Every time I opened my computer to browse the Internet I directly signed in to my Facebook account and visited NB Page. There I saw several links of their blogs, which out of my curiosity, I read them all. Until I became get well acquainted with the members of NB and befriended with them. And I sensed my belongingness with this group which is composed of students, government employees, freelance writers, businessmen, realtors, legal luminaries, news reporters who were the pioneers of NB as the core group.
As I regularly followed up their blogs, I said to myself, "This is a challenge of my writing prowess to start a blog of my own. But of course not to compete with them for they'd different fields of expertise and mine is different too. Therefore, doing what I could muster to start a blog is the answer. I started with a unique title, RandomThoughts! not knowing that there are several similar blogs with that same title. Well, I started writing with a controlled contents of various topics which I believe could get the interest of my readers. And it did. For a matter of less than a year, RandomThoughts received the award as The Best Lifestyle Blog in 2011 given by the Philippine Blog Award. Likewise, my local dialect (Ilonggo) blog, Tumandok, received the award as The Best Culture and Arts in 2011 given the same by the Philippine Blog Award.
What is your favorite blog post and why?
"Are They Made for Each Other?" It was our unique true love story of my high school sweetheart and now my wife when we're studying in high school sometime in 1968. It was "unique" in the sense that we had the same birth dates: (month, date, and the year). Thus, from birth certificate to marriage certificate.

Actors and actresses always have different shows, movies and guest appearances. We know that there are only a handful of celebrities who have made it to the top. TV commercials also pay well especially if the model is already a popular movie star. In the Philippines, the talent fees really depend on the popularity of a person. The popularity is being measured by the number of fans and movies produced. Supporting roles can pay decent money but major roles really show a huge difference. Sometimes there are only a few people in show business who can portray major roles.
