Criteria and standards should be duly noted, we are at a point wherein blogging is not just simply blogging but a form of media and even though we are in the internet, netiquette should be observed.
To nominate, here are the simple rules to follow:
1. Nominees should be FBW members only. You can nominate as many as you want including yourself.
2. Nominated blogs must be at least 12 months old and should have no less than 20 blog post since its creation.
3. Nomination is open until November 2104, and we will select the top 20.
4. Then I will put it to a vote to rank the TOP 10.
5. The winners will be the "Top 10 Best FBW Blogs of 2014." Please nominate your favorite blogs (any niche) in the comment box and the reason why. If you think your blog should be included on the list, feel free to nominate yourself.
So who are your choice for the top blogs?
I stand on the very basic tenets of any religion, and those are 1. "religion must brings us to the divine" not to condemn any group, ethnicity, gender. 2. encouraged faith to a divine power. 3. proliferate love and forgiveness. I am consciously and subconsciously aware that homosexuality and its practices will never be accepted by any religion on earth. NO DEBATE on this. However, the issue of the matter is LIFE. Must I live a life of chastity because it is dictated or self-regulated? To believe in heaven and hell requires faith. My believe of GOD is being aware that there is a greater power above us all.
Most religions at large condemns the LGBT. I accept that. No argument. But in the angle of "humanity" I have all the animal rights to protect myself from any type of persecutions and live what makes me happy. At the end no one has made a trip to heaven or hell, and back. We cannot impose morality to anyone, that is only to ourselves. Morality or the absence of such is a choice.
But how do we define morality? Religiously? Society? The Constitution? The Bill of Rights, or the Magna Carta from whence it came from? Morality is dual. Moral dualism is the belief of the great complement or conflict between the benevolent and the malignant. It simply implies that there are two moral opposites at work, independent of any interpretation of what might be "moral" and independent of how these may be represented. The moral opposites might, for example exist in a world view which has one god, more than one god, or none. By contrast, ditheism or bitheism implies (at least) two gods. Bitheism implies harmony, ditheism implies rivalry and opposition, such as between good and evil, or bright and dark, or summer and winter. For example, a ditheistic system would be one in which one god is creative, the other is destructive. We can discuss this deeper. But I am not a Theologian. I will not pretend to be.
At the end, this is what I believe: I believe God is divine. He is the greater power that governs us all. What is written of him, about him, is man's perception of HIM. What he dislikes or likes is also man's perception. God hasn't came down to write all Holy Books. If God governs us all, he governs us with logic. We do not have the right to condemn anyone's perception of God. To live LIFE is to live in happiness and love. If we are to live through what is written, as harsh as this may sound, there will be no living at all. I am ready to face God anytime. If he judged me to go to hell I will. But I have to tell this to God before I will journey to hell. God; you created me the way I am? Did you expect me to live otherwise?
Not to add insult to injury, God did not give us religion. He gifted us with faith. If this is not an accurate statement. There should have been ONE religion on earth. So the key is respect, tolerance, love, and acceptance.

After watching the video where Mayor Binays convoy was not allowed to exit through one of its gates on November 30, all I can say is a complete abuse of authority. Mayor of Makati, Binay Jr. is a disgusting and arrogant public official. All should be smart not to vote these traditional politicians, the Binay dynasty to office again. They are punishing people for doing their jobs. Dasmarinas Village has their own rule being followed by high-profile residents. The village is also home to prominent government officials, many embassies, and other known celebrities.
Seems like Mayor Binay, loves to point his dirty fingers at others. Is that what you call power tripping?
The guards who are just doing their jobs were treated with disrespect.
Why do you need guns for?
Look at Mayor's body guards pulling out their heavy guns. Do you really need an armalite to those village guards who are just doing their job and obviously not going to fight and whose firearms were already got confiscated.
Nancy Binay has her gun too, ready to fire.
Here is the video and it is up to you to take your side of a story.
Like Father Binay Like Son Binay. Here is the dad,Vice president Binay, who beat the traffic light. Beating the red light and turn left on a "no left turn road."
Mayor, so what did you accomplish after all? That they should know your face and kiss your ass. You did not expect that there is a video somewhere who will speak for the truth. Now, run along and hide under your fathers table.

Mar Roxas is the most hated politician in the Philippines today next to President Aquino, then Senator Enrile, the aleged mastermind on the PDAF scam, who also loves to play bejeweled during office hours. To think that Mar Roxas will run for presidential post on the next election and might win due to his connections, gives the Filipino people so much worries. Why are we going to allow these kind of people to run our country. No we don't want another incompetnt leader, enough is enough.
Mukha bang masaya? Hindi rin.
“Si Pres Cory Aquino na ang sumunod.
“Ano po ba ang ikinamatay? Old age?

Josef Descalzo shared the picture on his Facebook account. On his way to school, he witnessed a kind-hearted driver who gave the senior citizen a free ride. This jeepney driver is truly one of a kind. I still believe there are a lot more people out there like him. God Bless you Sir Driver.
Here is Joseph's post with 20,841 shares and 86,130 like on her Facebook wall as of this writing.
"Overheard while I was on my way to school just today…
Lola: Bayad ho
Jeepney driver: SeƱior citizen ho kayo?
Lola: oho.
Jeepney driver: May kasama ho kayo?
Lola: wala ho
Jeepney driver: *returning back the money to the old lady* Wag na ho kayo magbayad
Lola: Ha? Bakit?
“He was such a good samaritan, that’s the reason why I felt the need to share this to everyone. May he be blessed all his life. Saludo ako sayo, kuya driver,” according to Descalzo."
RIP Paul Walker. Walker was a passenger in the two-seater Porsche Carrera GT driven by a friend when the car lost control, hit a light pole or tree and the car burst into flames. He was in the area to a fund raising benefit show for the survivors of typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He leaves behind a 15-year-old daughter named Meadow. Paul was 40 years old, too young to die.
"He was very happy. He was smiling at everybody, just tickled that all these people came out to support this charity. He was doing what he loved. He was surrounded by friends, surrounded by cars.” said Bill Townsend, one of Walker’s friend who attended the fundraiser Saturday.
Paul Walker with Roger Rodas, who has been identified as the other person who died in the car crash.
Thank you Paul Walker for your love and support to Filipinos who were devastated by Typhoon Haiyan. We are grateful for your support and love to our country.
A few days after writing a controversial blog article about poser Twitter accounts, I was surprised to find two confirmation emails from malicious sites about my registration with them. The first one was from an adult site while the second email was from a random chat site.
Now I'm quite sure I wasn't the one who registered for an account with them. My guess is that the same people or groups of people who were involved in the poser accounts issue were trying to harm me.
Anyway, what I did was checked Gmail security log feature in order to see whether my Google email account was hacked. If you have encountered the same issue before or you think your account has been compromised, this is something you might find helpful.
'Last account activity' is an email security feature of Gmail that gives you information about the most recent activity of your account. This includes information on when your account was last accessed using a regular web browser, a POP email client such as Thunderbird and Outlook, a mobile device, third-party applications and many others. Google will also show the list of IP address, associated location, time and date of when your email account was accessed.
A screenshot of how the 'Last account activity' log looks like. |
When you find an unknown IP address, it may be indicative that your account was accessed by another person. When this happens, it is highly recommended that you change your password ASAP before its too late. If your email was accessed by a third-party application that you did not authorize or no longer use, it is best to disconnect them.
To access the 'Last account activity' log, simply click the Details link next to the Last account activity line at the bottom right of any Gmail page. You can also see activity for your entire Google account. Just go to https://security.google.com/ and click Recent activity from the Security menu found on the left sidebar. If you want to make your Google account even more secure I created this guide on how to secure Gmail account from hackers on my personal blog.
As a blogger, protecting our email accounts is very important. Most of us, particularly those who use the Blogger platform use Gmail account in order to login. Can you imagine losing access to your blog? The horror! This is the reason why I activated 2-step verification. You can learn more about it on my 'how to' post above.
Please share your thoughts on this issue. If you have additional security tips, do share in the comments box below.

Philippines was hit by a super typhoon Yolanda that killed thousands of people and the survivors homeless with nowhere to go, no food and clean water. The survivors hoped for the government's immediate help but days came by without any help. Some camped out hoping to escape the devastation and to search for food to survive. If not because of Anderson Cooper's CNN report, the whole world will not know about the how bad the disaster was. Foreign respondent came in first to help and still the Philippines government were nowhere to find.
Where is Noynoy and his administration? Suddenly the country was left behind with no government running the country. The greedy and corrupt politicians, the Senators and Congressmen who were only after PDAF all are out of sight.
Days before the Typhoon, Noynoy was saying the government is well-prepared to handle the emergency. Reassuring the people that there should be nothing to worry about. On his televised speech, he assured the assured the public of that the government is well-prepared to face super typhoon which will directly hit Samar and Leyte at midnight. C130 aircrafts are fully mission capable to respond to those in need, adding that 32 airplanes and helicopters from the Air Force are on standby together with the Philippine Navy’s 20 ships which are positioned in Cebu, Bicol, Cavite and Zamboanga. He said t relief goods are also pre-positioned in many of the areas expected to be affected by the typhoon.
Now he comes back to blame the local government as being unprepared especially Tacloban for being unprepared. Was he blind to know that that even the local government people were mostly themselves victims of Yolanda. And that many of those evacuation centers were hardly hit. Noynoy, instead of showing leadership and just work and be a Presidential, he is acting like nothing is inside his brain.
Days after the typhoon, evacuation center are ready to accommodate all the victims and the relief and rescue operations were well on its way. The President even said, “all national roads have been reopened and most national airports are back to operating levels.” But all of this was just a press release. The President only exposed himself as incompetent at his job.
"Yung Tacloban, hesitant lang ako. Para bang hindi ganun ka prepared...compared to other areas...Siguro I will reserve comments muna at this point in time hangang mas makumpleto natin yung datos," the President said in a briefing at the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC). Noynoy ambushed interview by the BB he still put all the blame to the “LGU's.’
Act like a real President Noynoy. Grow up and face your duty. You were on that position because of the Filipino citizen who voted for you, hoping that you will make a difference in running the country at its best.
Anderson Cooper was in Tacloban during typhoon Haiyan doing this job as a reporter without realizing that he saved thousands of people. The news that he delivered caught attention to the whole world . He was like asking the Philippines government to move their lazy butt to help the survivors. If not for Mr Cooper the foreign media and the world would never know what the real account of the "Yolanda" devastation is. Because of his coverage, help came in from all over the world. The government of the Philippines seems so quiet after the typhoon, those corrupt politicians where nowhere to be found. They just disappeared, left the country into agony.
Mr. Cooper saw people who were trying to fight for their life to lives. He served as an eye opener to our government. The whole world learned that the Filipinos cannot rely on the Philippine government in crisis like this. With the devastation's going on, some corrupt politicians even bother to put their names on the relief goods.
A ready for distribution relief goods from Indonesian , was repacked as per order of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) only because "they" want to repackaged using a different pouch with markings "DSWD Relief Goods, Not For Sale" instead of sending them straight to the affected areas. It is sad to know that in times like these our government still want to take the credit out of Indonesia, one form of stealing normal to Philippines government.
"When we volunteered, we were told to open and segregate relief goods that came from Indonesia earlier, even though these were already packed in pouches and ready for distribution. I don't understand why they won't distribute them directly when in fact they are already packed. Almost all of us who volunteered did not understand why there was no sense of urgency. The goods are ready but they are doing things that cause delay. Then for some packs that we already segregated, we were told to open once again because they should not be placed in sacks marked with DSWD but should be placed in those sacks marked with NFA. This is another delay. My heart ached as I took out the contents of the pouch to re-segregate. If those donations that we received were immediately distributed to the victims of Yolanda then they wouldn't go hungry and wait for death. My heart ached because the foreign nations are thinking of making the process of delivery faster yet our government doesn't think about it. Why do we need to re-pack and segregate those relief goods that are already prepared by the other countries?
We went home and discontinued our service. While opening and segregating the contents of the pouches, I felt pity on those people who were not immediately provided with help. I felt ashamed that other countries thought of how to send relief goods faster while our government puts them "on hold" if they are not yet repacked or counted.
I am frustrated. I am angry. I feel hopeless.
Lesson learned, I won't volunteer for the government anymore. It's much better if I volunteer for Private sectors."
____
DSWDs response:
Dear Volunteer,
I am writing this note to shed explanation about your FB post discouraging other volunteers to help the government in its relief efforts and your alleged accusation that individually packed donations from Indonesia in a pouch were opened and was not directly sent to ST Yolanda victims and further placed in a plastic bag with markings "DSWD Relief Goods, Not For Sale".
You see, it is a must to check and ensure that all relief goods particularly food items are fit for human consumption and in good condition (expiry dates are checked before they are dispatch).
In the case of the Indonesian donation, there is a need to separate the bottled items ( condiments, catsup, seasonings) in one container and mark it 'fragile ' to avoid damage or breaking it.
Food donations are segregated according to its kind for even distribution to the recipients to avoid duplication , unjust share and comparison ( others may receive only sardines while the others corned beef)
There is also a need to put the goods in a plastic bag with a ' Not for Sale' print so that no one can tamper, put sticker or picture and claim it as theirs, after all these goods came from us , the taxpayers.
I hope this simple explanation catches you so that other volunteers will not be discouraged and continue to help.
Believe it or not, more than a thousand kind-hearted volunteers line-up in a day to help with a smile, who do not count cost as they know that for every Family Pack they can wrap, one hungry family is fed.
_____
Ang mga napadala dayon nga relief goods gikan Indonesia nga packed in a pouch and ready to distribute na maoy gipabungkag ug gipanglahi lahi ang sulod sa among pagvolunteer.
Nanguli mi ug giputol namo among pagserbisyo.
I am frustrated. I am angry. I feel hopeless.
Lesson learned, dili nako mo-volunteer sa gobyerno. Mas maayo sa private sectors nlang.
" While I was looking at the pouch before unpacking them, all I am thinking is "Someone needs to receive this right away!" Least of my concern at that moment is the idea of corruption. Yes, I am open to that idea but once again, all I really want to happen is the urgent distribution. I am concerned about the delay. Naa jud sa akong mind, this disaster pack wilL save someone's life in that very moment. I know everyone in here have voiced their opinion. When you're in a battle and someone's gonna die, and a bottle of water will save that person's life, you don't wait for someone to bring you a glass so that you can pour the water in before you let him drink it. You can actually let him drink directly from the bottle. The reason that I can not also provide the names of the staffs in DSWD is that when I jumped in to help, I didn't really find it necessary to know them. I had no plans of blogging about it. Had I known that those will happen, I could've collected names. All I know that night was that I couldn't go on with the task, I wouldn't want to continue the task - if I don't believe and agree with the process, what's the point of me being there. We just wanted to leave and so we did. Then we realized it bugged us and left us in a state of disbelief while we were on our way home. When something eats you up inside, especially when saying your part probably change things, then you got to say it. So, it was Friday night 15th of November at 9:30 PM at Mactan Air Base Sangi. I think that information can give the names of the people in charged that time. I don't care about who they really were. I just want changes. The least we can do is sabotage the TIMELY relief efforts of those countries who helped us."
SEO Tip
1. URL
To make your blog post URL seo-friendly, use dash/hypen ( - ) instead of underscores ( _ ).- Remove or hide page extensions (e.g. .php, .html, etc.)- Make your URL short (must be not too long) and keyword rich.
To make your blog post URL seo-friendly, use dash/hypen ( - ) instead of underscores ( _ ).- Remove or hide page extensions (e.g. .php, .html, etc.)- Make your URL short (must be not too long) and keyword rich.
Reason why we should eliminate the extension name in our URL (e.g. php, .html)
It is actually more of a user friendly approach rather than for SEO view but this has been one of the best practices when it comes to creating URL. Do not change your URLs unless you know how to check 404s and create 301s. But you can do this to your future posts. May I also add that when I say 'keyword rich' it only means to use your keywords on the URL. But do not use same keywords repeatedly as this would look spammy. About 2-4 words is enough. Although you must be able to say what your content is all about in this 4 words. (Florence Belnas Tejadilla)
2. Google Analytics and Webmasters
It's important that all visit stats of your website is visible to you. Set it up as soon as your website is up and running.
- measures your SEO and marketing efforts
- helps discover new keywords- discovers 404s- helps improve web page quality
- determine traffic source, content sources, bounce rate, keywords, etc.
- a lot more.
Check out videos on youtube on how to setup analytics and webmasters for your website/blog cms.
SEO Myth
You can rank a website #1 in Google overnight with SEO
This is wrong. It's even impossible to rank a website #1 in Google in a month or 2. (unless of course you're promoting a website with a keyword that no one else is talking about, which is sort of impossible). SEO takes months to even years to reach the first page of Google. The actual range depends on the keywords you're aiming to rank for, it's competitiveness, and marketability. (Florence Belnas Tejadilla)
The idea that you CAN'T rank a WEBPAGE (Note: In SERPS, webpages are displayed because rankings are designated to specific webpages and NOT to a website) overnight or in a month or two is a MYTH. Just because you have not done it (in several methods that you know), does not necessarily mean that it's impossible. A single fact remains about SEO - SEO is very dynamic. For this very reason, an effective SEO method for a certain website could possibly be a MYTHICAL and ineffective method for your website. SEO "truths" come and go. Sometimes, these truths become myths overtime. Facts are oftentimes judged as false but the truth remains that SEO is still there and so much alive, that many websites are still depending on it. (Clarence Ruelos)
I have lots of pages that ranked on page 1 in less than a month, some of them even reaches top 1. How do I know? I used the real-time feature of Google Analytics. I can study there what my audiences have been reading 'RIGHT NOW' and what keywords they put on the search engine. I adapt and use those keywords in my future blog posts. (Albert Israel)
Well, definitely not overnight but in a month, it's possible. It's a matter of religiously submitting and spreading your anchor text/url in various submission/directories/web 2.0s etc. (Eihdra Gatchalian)
The main idea when it comes to content is to write for your audience and not for search engines, then natural high quality back links comes next.

Descrimination in property buying is not common but it is happening in the Philippines. An OFW (Oveseas Flipino Worker) in Qatar, a muslim country, was turned down by a sales representative to purchase a property because of her religion. He said that it is his company policy not to sell them.
This incident created chaos to the Filipino Muslims in Qatar. Miss Minda, a muslim property seller whose concern is to help OFW's like her to spend their hard earned money wisely and it is so disappointing for her to know that one of the buyer was turned down from purchasing a property because of religion.
"It is sad to know that VISTA LAND DEVELOPER (Brittany, Crown Asia & Camella Homes) has a COMPANY POLICY of ANTI MUSLIM according to their Sales Rep in Qatar. I was just informed today. A Muslim buyer with her abaya dress came to meet the representative but since I am her referral agent for this buyer then I was inform that this buyer will not be approve to purchase a House Lot in CDO because she is a Muslim.".
We may worship different from each other but we all are created by "One God" and it sad that some company like Vista Land Developer is against Islam. What's wrong with Muslims? Does the money of Muslims and Christians have any difference? And what is funny here, they have representative to Islamic countries selling their properties.
One buyer was also once turned down after completing all the requirements after the company learned he is a Muslim living in Davao.
"VISTA LAND DEVELOPER, I AM MUSLIM and I AM PROUD TO BE ONE. I AM NOT A TERRORIST!."
This is seriously sickening, offensive and racist policy! Whoever made the Anti Muslim policy has a reason .
Vista Land management deserves to be heard. concerning this issue. Hopefully they will clarify their policy against Muslim buyer.
Eyrhil Tom E. Bulahan, a resident of Zamboanga, took these pictures on September 9, 2013 when one soldier ask him for food. He shared the photos through social network site Facebook. He narrates how a soldier approached him and asked him in the local (bisayan) dialect if they had any leftover rice for them as they had run out of food and had not eaten since early that morning, " bai? naa moy kanun or bahaw bsan gamay lang wala pa man gud mi nagkaon ganina buntag pa and walay tulog." (Mama? Wala ba kayong kainin jan na khit sunog na or yung tira tirang pagkain na hnd niyo na kakainin wala pa kase kameng kain simula kaninang madaling araw at wala pang tulog).”
"so I got some in our kitchen and some can goods and gallons of water to gave to them. Poor soldiers na nasa battle field ngayon fighting for our safe share and let the government know about this."
“Yung mga sundalo po bumibili na nang sarili nilang pagkain, isda, prutas gamit pera nila dahil lugaw lang ang pagkain nila ngayon,” (soldiers have resorted to buy their own food with their own money as they have only supplied with lugaw (porridge) as rations in the past few days), he said.
Eyrhil and his neighbors also left drinking water outside of their homes for the soldiers to drink.
The government do not have the budget to support the soldiers but have all the billions ready for the Pork Barrel budget that only goes to the corrupt Senators and Congressmen's pocket. The P10 billion pork scam lead by Janet Napoles is an issue that the government should resolve. Let justice be served, those money should go to the government projects for the poor people.

The minute this movement was started, I committed to march to Luneta on the 26th. I am apalled, not only with legislators who misused their PDAF, but also with our President who has done absolutely nothing to curb the abuses of the Pork Barrel system. President Benigno Simeon Aquino III is equally as liable. All the reports coming out center on the period of 2007 to 2009 -- during the time of GMA when then Senator Noynoy Aquino and his LP allies were no longer in the good graces of GMA. There seems to be a deliberate attempt to hide the figures of legislators who, prior to 2007, were still allied with GMA (like then Sen. Noynoy Aquino and other LP stalwarts). There is also a suspicion that the Commission on Audit did not release the figures for 2011 to 2013 -- the period when President Aquino was already in power. It is a good thing that media is already showing that the Pork Barrel Funds of Pres. Aquino is 3 times more than GMA's.
Knowing fully well that the Pork Barrel system is subject to abuse, why does the President refuse to stop the Pork Barrel system? Why do some sectors keep on zeroing on legislators who are in the opposition when, in fact, the the administration is equally liable? Leonor Briones, the Philippines' National Treasurer during the time of Cory Aquino, already said that the President himself has control of almost 1-Trillion Pesos in Pork Barrel Funds. Still, some sectors allied with the President still zero in on opposition legislators. It has been shown that the Department of Budget and Management under Sec. Butch Abad has realeased one of the biggest amounts of congressional PDAF funds to his wife, Congresswoman Dina Abad -- mother of the head of MalacaƱang's Presidential Management Staff, Julia Abad! Still some sectors allied with the President zero in on the pork barrel funds of opposition legislators who have received much less.
The President campaigned on a platform based mainly on stopping corruption in government. He was sold to the people as a crusader against corruption. Some people hold the President blameless for the Pork Scandal. I respect the opinion of these people even if such is contrary to mine. But I ask them a simple question: Why is he so beholden to the Pork Barrel system which, all of us agree is one of the root causes of corruption?!!! More than half of his Presidential term is over and yet the President has not been able to stop corruption. Miriam Santiago was correct when she stated that the Pork Barrel system must be abolished and not even 1 day later, the President comes out with a statement saying that he is not in favor of abolishing it. If he were truly intent on fighting corruption, he would have stopped it at its very root cause. I, together with a lot of people, already consider the President and his allies as part of the problem. I do not advocate his overthrow but I will be marching on August 26 against the abusers of the Pork Barrel system which INCLUDES PRESIDENT BENIGNO S. AQUINO III. Peace to all the marchers!

Mila D. Aguilar. P1 Trillion+. Pork, both Congress' and the President's. What a wonderful sum for PLANNED year-on-year economic development! The genuine abolition of pork barrel should lead to it.
My proposal on its proper use takes on three main lines:
1. Place the amount in the regular national budget, but earmarked as Strategic Economic Development Funds.
2. Institute CHECK & BALANCE on the funds, letting the executive branch propose the strategic plan year-on-year, but giving the legislative AS A WHOLE, in open sessions, the power to review, propose changes, and approve the plan as it currently does with the national budget.
This means no individual legislator can appropriate any amount for himself (or ostensibly, for his constituents) anymore, but can still suggest, subject to open debate, a better ECONOMIC plan for his area.
3. Strategic economic development should mean that the funds will be used for the following purposes alone:
3.1. The building and maintenance of INFRASTRUCTURE necessary to ensure the equalization of economic opportunities all over the land, to wit:
3.1.1. Roads and bridges up to feeder roads
3.1.2. Strategically placed flood control systems
3.1.3. Strategically planned sources of electricity designed to bring down its cost (combined hydro, solar, wind, depending on area)
3.1.4. An Internet superhighway with its own feeder roads for the farthest reach
3.1.4. A strategic plan to ensure clean water systems everywhere
3.2. The systematic upgrading of our educational SUPERSTRUCTURE to ensure a progressively developing population who all contribute to economic development:
3.2.1. Establishment of K-12 Entrepreneurial Community Schools in urban and rural poor areas, where all subjects are geared towards the launch of practical entrepreneurial projects together with parents and the community affected.
3.2.2. Upgrading of state colleges and universities so that they respond in a planned and systematic way to national needs, without overproducing graduates in any profession, and with the view of producing professionals who can contribute concretely to national economic development, such as engineers especially in the computer sciences.
3.2.3. Institution of large-scale R&D programs that will lead to the development of our basic industries and the manufacturing sector.
3.2.4. Upgrading, financing, computerization, modernization of the judicial system so that the Filipino will start to feel that there is justice in his/her country after all.
PNoy decreed what pork barrel should not be spent on. Let the people decree WHAT it should become -- a strategic part of the national budget with its checks and balances -- and HOW it should be spent: for planned economic development alone.
NOTHING should be left unprogrammed, NOTHING left to the discretion of any one individual or branch of government. Even calamity funds can be planned.
Exciting times for deep-going change! Once we make it -- through prayer, passion and action -- we shall have established one piece of God's Kingdom here on earth.

...those who plan peace have joy."

Manny Sarmiento. "By being in Luneta and other places in the Philippines on August 26, we are sending a message, but a message only as strong as the number of people participating."
Ella Jorraine Serrano. Putting into action is the best Everyone knows what Philippine Government system is but still they continue the corruption as a traditional system. Knowing is different to putting into action if you are already tempted with the money, power and everything..you will already fall into temptation. This million march will be meaningless if not each one of us doesn't know how to practice righteous acts but still continue the selfish acts. Righteous Acts is the best! Knowing what is good and avoid evil deeds.
Eliseo Rio Jr. I do not know with the others, but I will go to Luneta on August 26 without any expectations but just to be present and vent my disgust. I will maybe talk to the stranger to my left, to my right, the one in front and behind me and ask them if they feel the same disgust that I feel. If we share the same feelings, our small group will try to touch base with the small groups around us, talking on how we can make our disgust into something constructive for the sake of our country. I will listen to speeches if there are any, be entertained by show biz personalities if any, but always observing, exchanging ideas, to those I can physically reach. I don’t need an organization to do this for me. I don’t need a permit to do this. My physical safety I will entrust to the authorities in the area.
When I get home, I will put in the social media my experiences, what ideas I have gathered, how wide-spread the feeling to change for the better is, how deep the disgust on corruption is. I will be sure that this will reach a greater number of people that I came in contact in Luneta. . I am sure that a number of patriotic IT nerds will find ways to merge my comments with the hundreds of thousand comments of others for all to see. Suddenly, the so called silent majority becomes a virtual reality. Suddenly, dedicated, self-sacrificing leaders/facilitators will emerge in this virtual world. Suddenly, this virtual majority can, at a call, enter the real world to strike at those who will do them harm, who will jeopardize the future of their children, who prioritize their personal needs to the needs of the country. And I will wake up the next morning knowing that this is not just a dream, that we have finally become the REAL BOSS.
BUT I will not just stay at home because of a preconceived notion that nothing will come out of this. THIS IS precisely the apathy a whole generation, my generation, felt and therefore did nothing, resulting in a waste-basket Philippines. This is precisely why I said that this disease has now infected this generation of my children, for even when they are being made fools of by people they elected, some would rather not do anything about it, but just ask questions and complain. NO I will not stay at home. This time I will act!!!
By being in Luneta and other places in the Philippines on August 26, we are sending a message, but a message only as strong as the number of people participating.
