After receiving a lot of criticism that put her name to shame, she submitted a letter last June 18, 2012 to the office of Committee on Rules headed by Cong. Neptali Gonzales II, indicating that she is withdrawing sponsorship from the filed House Bill.
But her will to get the peoples attention did not stop from there. There she is with a new program obviously to clear her name and reputation as a politician who is obviously aiming for a higher position on the next coming election. After the failed attempt to "legally rob" money from the OFW's, she is now offering free passport.
This girl never stops to amazed the Filipino people. From Anti OFW to "I Love OFW" drama. By the way ,do politicians really need to put their big face to every banner of their projects posted on every public places.

By accident. Stef has blogger friends who encouraged her to get her own blog. And the rest, as they say, is history.
What is Stef’s favorite blog post and why?
Stef has marked two blog posts as her personal favorites: Blogger Attitude Check, an article that encourages bloggers to look at the mirror long and hard before they start typing away on their computers, and General Practice: Doctors’ Stigma?, which discusses the prejudice Filipinos have against general practitioners in the Philippines.
Both have become her top picks because they require a call to action, urging people to rethink their beliefs, asking Filipinos to open their minds a little wider. And Stef wants nothing more but to provoke thought and evoke emotion through her words – it is a change for the better that she is after.

The best tool for weight loss is knowing the difference between weight loss myths and effective weight loss regimens. Losing weight may be extra difficult when one follows weight loss myths rather than doing the correct weight loss practices.
With that, here are 5 common weight loss myths that you may want to stay clear of. In addition, each myth has corresponding weight loss tips that will effectively boost your weight loss goals.
Weight loss myth #1 - Avoid eating to start losing weight.
We simply need to eat. Avoiding food or skipping a meal will
only cause a temporary weight loss, if any. More so, following this weight loss
myth will not only cause unnecessary starvation, it may also lead to health
problems and unhealthy habits like binges or cravings.
Weight loss tips:
1. Do not over-eat.
2. Eat wisely.
3. Eat in portions.
4. Exercise regularly.
Weight loss myth #2 - Avoid carbohydrates to start losing
weight.
Carbohydrates play an important part of our diets. They
serve as fuels to the body by way of glucose. A strict low-carb diet may render
the body low on energy, dehydrated, nauseated and constipated.
Weight loss tips:
1. Eat carbohydrates from fruits, vegetables and whole
grains.
2. Avoid bad carbs from cakes, cookies and white breads.
3. Exercise regularly.
Weight loss myth #3 - Avoid fats to start losing weight.
Meals are more satisfying with fats. Fatty acids are high in
calorie and may even cause heart problems to some. Avoiding fats altogether is
however not the answer to weight loss. There are good fats which we can still
enjoy; and continue losing weight.
Hydrogenated fats or trans fats are the fats to avoid. These
fats are not only bad for our health; they also promote weight gain. Good fats,
on the other hand are good for our digestive health, immune system, brain and
nervous systems.
Weight loss tips:
1. Eat good fats from tuna, mackerel, sardines, nuts and seeds, olive oil, corn oil, soymilk, tofu, avocados.
2. Avoid bad fats from butter, cheese, lard, margarine,
crackers, chips, microwave popcorn, fried foods and candies.
Weight loss myth #4 - Avoid sweets to start losing weight.
This weight loss myth may easily pass for the truth.
However, you don't have to stop eating sweets to start losing weight. It's only
fair to allow ourselves to give in to our sweet tooth, if it is in our liking. Totally
avoiding sweets would only lead to unnecessary binges. Choose wisely on the
other hand, the sweets you are to eat.
Weight loss tips:
1. Choose healthy sweets like watermelon, apples, bananas, melon or other sweet fruits.
2. Choose low-calorie ice creams, brownies or processed
sweets.
3. Eat in portions.
4. Exercise regularly.
Weight loss myth #5 - Avoid eating at night time to start
losing weight.
To bust with weight loss myth, consider this weight loss
formula: Calories in < Calories. It doesn't matter when you take in the
calories. As long as you burn them off, you can start losing weight. Unused
energy will be stored as fats, whether foods are taken daytime or nighttime. In
most cases of weight gain, eating snacks at night leads to over-eating,
especially if in good company of friends and family.
Weight loss tips:
1. Eat small portions.
2. Exercise regularly.
There you have common weight loss myths explained and easy, effective weight loss tips which you can easily do at home.

Setting up a business involves a lot of planning and coordination. But generally speaking, it doesn't have to be a pain, that is, if you know the right tools, where to find them and what results they can generate. Now, setting up a business involves financial capital that you should be willing to burn, and if you don't have enough funding, it's worth checking out these four online business tools:
1. PickyDomains.com So you got a website, and now you need a domain. Problem is the domains you've come up with are already taken. With millions of top-level domains (TLDs) registered to date, that doesn't come as a surprise. Branding agencies can help you with a unique and relevant domain, but their service charges might actually surprise you - up to thousands of dollars. PickyDomains provides a solution to this problem for just a fraction of the price these agencies charge. PickyDomains, in business since 2007, uses the power of crowdsourcing to help you come up with unique, easy-to-remember and relevant names, domains and slogans for your business. Just register with the site and become a client, make an upfront $50 payment if you're looking for a name or domain, or $75 for a slogan, and come up with a list of naming specifications. If none of the suggestions you receive meets your needs, you can take your money back anytime.
2. JetRadar.com At one point or another, your business may require some serious traveling. That said, it’s a good thing airfare prices have cheapened considerably nowadays, thanks to low-cost airlines and online travel sites. Now, the bad thing about this innovation is that to find the cheapest airfare deal, customers would have to literally travel from one site to another to search and compare, an undertaking that's time-consuming and taxing at best. JetRadar.com is a free search engine that thoroughly searches through more than 700 airline sites and hundreds of online ticketing sites for the cheapest airline tickets on sale, and makes the data accessible in a single web address for the public to utilize whenever the need arises, drastically limiting, if not totally eradicating, the time it takes to compare deals and finally snag the best there is.
3. Comindware.com Generally speaking, with automation comes better estimation and forecasting. And with several web-based applications literally peppering the market nowadays, it can become increasingly difficult for small businesses and enterprises to make a choice. If you're a startupper, it's important that you choose a software system that brings tangible results to the table, as well as value for your money. Comindware Tracker is an innovative and breakthrough software solution that automates your business functions. Combined with Comindware Task Management, it allows collaboration of workflow processes, streamlining of issue tracking and efficient tracking of tasks that can potentially save you up to 50% on direct costs. With flexibility deeply embedded in the technology it's built upon, ElasticData technology, Comindware enables you to formulate and alter workflow processes whenever you feel like it. With Comindware Tracker, users see tasks and priorities clearly, automatically generate next-step projects and/or chores in a collaborative manner and view the real-time statuses of tasks they track. Depending on how many licenses you need, you can purchase Comindware Tracker at a discount.
4. Bitrix24.com Workplace efficiency is something every business strives to achieve on an ongoing basis. This is why a lot of businesses are now using CRMs and intranets for their day-to-day functions. The problem with these tools, unfortunately, they can cost more than a small business owner can afford. Bitrix24.com is a cloud-based social enterprise solution that's 100% free for companies with a maximum of 12 employees. Bitrix24 combines separate work tools in one platform, essentially your one-stop workstation - CRM for transactions, workforce monitoring, live streaming, calendar, project management, to name just a few. Cloud-based, it requires no installation and can be accessed practically anywhere via a computer or a smartphone, as long you've got Internet connection. And if you're business suddenly takes off and you need to expand, an upgrade to unlimited users costs just about $99 per month.

As a blogger and optimizer, I am always updated with the latest news and happenings inside the technology and internet world. News about companies acquiring other companies either to lower down their competition, to strengthen their market or to further build up their brands fascinates me. Stories like Facebook acquiring Instagram and now Betaworks buying Digg never fails to amaze me a lot.
Digg is acquired by Betaworks for a price of $500k (or probably more since the pricing is still under discussion based on tech websites close to the companies involve). Betaworks is the company behind the services bit.ly, news.me, Chartbeat and other successful startups and products.
Here is the official statement from Digg's CEO Matt Williams about Betaworks acquiring Digg:
So what's next for Digg?
"Betaworks is rebuilding Digg from scratch in just 6 weeks and wants your input" . This is the latest buzz today about that story.
According to Rethinkdigg.com:
Let us all wait and find out till August 1 of this year.

Here is the official statement from Digg's CEO Matt Williams about Betaworks acquiring Digg:
Today marks the next stage in Digg's future.Back to the selling price of Digg, if you guys can remember, Google is one of the many giant companies who offered Digg and its founder Kevin Rose a great price tag for the said site. Back in July 2008, TechCrunch posted an article saying that "Google In Final Negotiations To Acquire Digg For "Around $200 Million". Imagine that, from a very lucrative $200 Million (above 8 billion pesos in Philippine money when multiplied by 42 pesos if my math is correct) down to $500 thousand. But then again, it's better than nothing right? With Digg's traffic and income slowly declining, I think, it's a good move for Digg.com to accept what Betaworks has to offer.
Believe it or not, it's been seven years since Digg launched. To date, we've had over 350M Diggs, 28M Story Submissions and 40M Comments. We're extremely proud to have helped pioneer social voting on the web.
......
We couldn't be happier to announce that the next generation of Digg will live on with the team from Betaworks. Betaworks is combining Digg with News.me, a Betaworks company with an iPad app, iPhone app and daily email that delivers the best stories shared by your friends on Facebook and Twitter. Digg will join a portfolio of products developed by Betaworks designed to improve the way people find and talk about the news. Betaworks founder John Borthwick will be the CEO of the new Digg.

According to Rethinkdigg.com:
As betaworks and Digg both announced on their blogs, we are taking over Digg and turning it back into a startup. What they didn’t mention is that we’re rebuilding it from scratch. In six weeks. So what does this news means to us? fans and users of Digg.com who loves to vote and share each others Digg submission stories?
On August 1, after an adrenaline and caffeine-fueled six weeks, we’re rolling out a new v1. With this launch, we’re taking the first step towards (re)making Digg the best place to find, read and share the most interesting and talked about stories on the Internet — and we want your help.
Let us all wait and find out till August 1 of this year.

Blog Name: Ask Hideki
Category/Niche: Tech
Blog Description: Ask Hideki a blog about gadgets, tech news, reviews and tips of almost anything interesting under the web and mobile world.
About yourself/blogger:
I am Hideki, I have been using that pen name since I started entering the world of internet via mobile web developing, more popularly known as wap. From there, I started studying basic HTML and later tried using blogging platforms (both WP and Blogger) as CMS. It was way back 2008 when I started blogging. I bought the domain name AskHideki.com last 2011. Before that, I was just using free domain names, but had already honed my blogging knowledge and technical skills. I am a 21 year old BSECE student and a tech fanatic. I love gadgets, and this is what I am writing about. I love what I am doing. My other site is Ian Tamad
What’s the inspiration behind your blog and how long has it been around?
I cannot forget the names of all the mentors that taught me all the foundations I am holding into as a blogger/webmaster. First was Sir jonbrewno, I owe him my HTML/CSS/JS knowledge that we honed with
mobile wap sites development, Sir rus929 for my WP familiarization, and Sir bernjie/berniemeiru for self hosted WP and PHP/MYSQL knowledge I gained. I started to write on blogs in 2007, it was still Friendster times. Now, I was inspired with my desire of being like YugaTech and Jehzlau; as they are really an epitome of success in field of blogging and internet.
How did you get into blogging:
I will blame the desire I concocted on my young brain when I was still in high school, when our computer teacher introduced us the internet. After that class I had made a goal for myself that one day I will have a website of my own. Now, I got a lot.
What is your favorite blog post and why?
My favorite blog post is the second and third "Hello World" I got on my site. It's a symbol of not giving up, continuing the life of blogging for me. I get such only when backing up and moving a blog to another due to some unpleasant issues I got while I was on my early years. But seriously, every hello world is my favorite post as per its a mark of a new beginning and a desire to blog that is being started. Even though some are still got stuck on that.

We have seen a lot of post on blogging tutorials, tips and any related topics, some bloggers clearly stated their points and made a good impact on the readers. There is no doubt that these topics really helps a lot of bloggers who are on a learning process.
But my concern is or shall I say my rant for this morning is: what if the author was corrected for some typo error on his post about the tips, tutorial and on how to be a good writer/blogger?
Funny how some people reacted or get back to you after the spell correction you made on their post for good intention. How pitty, he returned the favor by pointing out on all my facebook comment mistakes highlighting the uncapitalized "i" and "face book", lol.
Why can't just say " thank you" or simply correct it or if not possible, just be appreciative that other sincerely read HIS post very well before commenting. Admit it or most of those commenters did not even bother to read the whole post, they just drop a comment for whatever reasons and it is none of my business anymore.
I encountered one just this morning. I excitedly read the post because of the recommendation of one of the pillars in blogging world. Here goes the conversation on Facebook. I just copy paste it from the groups thread. The correction I made ended up in an argument and it seems that the blogger that I corrected cannot accept the fact that a nobody like me pointed out some typo error on his post. Oh, well, here is the first part, it was actually a long conversation and I feel sorry for arguing with a very sarcastic individual.
Lesson learned, never correct somebody who won in writing contest many times coz they are very sensitive for correction.
Me: @Axxx Bxxx, you have error on the first paragraph " What we to need to do to win? ".tip#5" Most of the competitors never do it more that 2-3 times".kindly edit please
Axxx Bxxx: Tess: Where? I didn't get you, sorry!
Me: you have some correction at the 1st paragraph" What we to need to do to win? "-check this sentence you wrote and remove the"to" " and tip#5 paragraph " Most of the competitors never do it more that 2-3 times" it should be "than" not "that"
Axxx Bxxx: Well, that can't be done now as it is not my blog. Thank you for mentioning.
And it would be much better if you have appreciated for what I have written (about my strategy) than searching for the mistakes. :)
more conversation/argument followed ......

If the idea of renting college textbooks is kind of new to you, searching and surfing to the website for a book that relates to something that you studied might encourage you to try renting at least one book. The experience will help you get to know the usual process and help you locate the book you needed at a very affordable price. Aside from the big savings that renting college textbooks can offer, another advantage is the extra space that you can save for the bookshelves since you won’t be stocking any books right after the semester.
Renting books could not only benefit the student but the charity as well. With every textbook rented, donations are given to help the projects of Operation Smile. Renting college textbooks do not just transform the lives of the students but also changes the lives of the children with cleft lip or cleft palate. Your support leads the way to effective and safe surgeries for the children with cleft palate worldwide. There are still a lot of children waiting to be healed around the globe. With just a little help, you are able to contribute heaps to change the life of a child forever.
Earlier today, 453,000 user accounts (Yahoo mail login details) have been retrieved and hacked in plaintext from an unconfirmed service on Yahoo. Even though Yahoo officially said that only 5% of the accounts are alive and valid, still, it's a serious issue and security threat. For sure, you are one of the many who wanted to know if your account is one of those emails. Checking a list of 453,000 data along with its technical information can be a bit tiring and stressful. Good thing, a tool has emerged to the rescue.
Sucuri Malware Labs offered their newly created Yahoo Leak Password Checker for free online for all people around the world.
Using this tool is pretty easy. Just plugin your Yahoo email and hit CHECK EMAIL button and your done. Results will be given if your mail is hack or not. Blog Name: Be Kind To Us Trolls
Category/Niche: Personal
Blog Description: Living the Crazy Life Through The Eyes Of An Internet Troll
About your blog:
My blog was created for fun and not for profit.
It was conceived to satisfy my inquisitive nature.
.
It continued up to this day to challenge my quest for the very elusive answers. The intentions were to share current events and personal adventures. To vent out criticisms and frustrations against the government, society, my next door neighbors, my colleagues, and myself. To explore my impulsive creativity, or wander on my weaknesses and shortcomings as they unravel. To commend remarkable individuals or criticize those that does not conform to my standards.
It’s actually a blog about the effects of the world on my everyday life, and how I perceive them. Destructive or constructive, it doesn’t matter. It’s a blog about my unique eccentric identity.
It’s up to the readers to judge whether I am in crisis or in peace. It’s about me keeping in touch with realities and getting lost in my fantasies.
I believe almost every personal blog out there is a continuous search of the bloggers’ identity and the acknowledgement and acceptance of society.
About yourself/blogger:
My personality is a mix of all genres, with a penchant for the absurd and graphically pleasing. I’m a graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) from the Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT). Yes, I am an Engineer. I am one of the noble semi-skilled laborers that execute the vision of those who think and dream. I am one of the Oompa-Loompas of Science.
However, I dwelt more in Information Technology in most of my existence. I became the IT professional who’s more into substance than structure, the gamer who never finishes a game because I often gets lost in the eye-candy, the frustrated musician who bought an organ and guitar but did not learn how to play it because I could play music better with a computer, and the sci-fi fanatic who would never miss pondering on the opportunity to train and experiment on people like lab rats.
What’s the inspiration behind your blog and how long has it been around?
When I started this blog, my goal was just to react to the very controversial current events happening during that time: November 2011. The time the new Philippine government, headed by Noynoy Aquino, started running after – and eventually filed charges against the corrupt leaders of the former government of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. It was pay-back time, and I wanted to be part of it, at least via online interaction.
How did you get into blogging?
I started blogging when I found Facebook as just not appropriate or enough for the ideas and criticisms I wanted to share with people. Facebook can reach so many people but it’s difficult to scroll back and forth to past and present topics because of all the other wall posts and comments. The only inconvenient thing about a Wordpress blog is people could not easily “Like” because they still need to register a Wordpress account, which is quite a hassle if they are not bloggers.
What is your favorite blog post and why?
My favorite was one of the very first blog post that I did last November 2011. It was one of the highly read during that month that inspired me to be more creative and continue with my blogging until this day. I occasionally stop when I’m too busy at work, but I always try to find time at least every once in a month to post even a simple blog entry just to keep connected with the online world: Put The Little Girl To Sleep.

After a long deliberation, we already made our decision, so without further ado, the lucky winner of $15 paypal cash is Ross Flores Del Rosario, blog owner of Be Kind to Us Trolls for a very detailed logo description and a blog post about the contest and his comment, http://bekindtoustrolls.wordpress.com/ 2012/06/26/fbw-logo-design-contest/
Here is his winning comment:
Logo entry number 9 gets my vote!
The logo may look simple but it is the most illustrative and meaningful compared to all the other entries. It is intricate yet straight-forward enough to define exactly what the Filipino Bloggers Worldwide (FBW) site is all about: A virtually-connected world where all Filipino bloggers all over the globe can unite as one.
Let me enumerate some of the most distinguishable factors of the logo that makes it stand out among the rest:
1. The logo's intended meaning can be easily discerned and appreciated by most individuals."Filipino" is represented by the salakot, "Bloggers" by the wi-fi or network connectivity symbol, and "Worldwide" by the globe.
2. Our focus is not severely disoriented by several fancy colors and other distracting images found on the other logo entries. A good logo does not need to clutter itself with too many decorative highlights, but needs to enforce more significance.
3. Filipinos can easily identify with the logo since the "salakot" has been one of the most common symbols of Filipino identity. The "salakot" is the traditional wide-brimmed headgear of the Filipino. It is often portrayed as the hat worn by Juan de la Cruz, the symbol of the collective Filipino psyche equivalent to Uncle Sam of the Americans.
4. The logo contains a globe with grid lines. A grid is a network of uniformly spaced horizontal and perpendicular lines specifically used for locating points (as on a map, chart or aerial photograph) by means of a system of coordinates. In other words, we are speaking about an intelligent geometric pattern into which, theoretically, the Earth and its energies are organized. That is what we want the site to achieve: to be able to easily find each other and combine our "energies" for the good of all.
5. The logo implies that we are all connected. Whether wired, as illustrated by the elegant script style font (synonymous to network cables) of the FBW lettering, or via wireless as illustrated by the wi-fi signal symbol under the "salakot." Regardless of how we are connected, it signifies the almost non-stop and continuous connectivity our site wants to achieve.
6. The logo is "catchy" enough to attract attention, and meaningful enough to be remembered. You could even easily sketch or describe it for others to easily comprehend.
There are so many logos out there but the most successful in the "recall factor" are those that are simple yet depict a deeper meaning.
If I were to create a logo for anybody, I would craft it out from the most vital pieces of information that would best define our goals, intentions and commitment.
Without a doubt, the logo has all the factors necessary to clearly send its message across.
Mabuhay to logo entry number 9!

Dolphy, the Philippines "King of Comedy" passed away Tuesday evening July 10, 2012 at the age of 83, leaving behind his common law wife Zsa Zsa Padilla and 18 children. He died of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD ) after a months stay at Makati Medical Center's intensive Care unit (ICU).
Dolphy has never married, for more than 20 years, he has been with the actress and singer Zsa Zsa Padilla. His kids are his pride and joy and he could easily name all 18 of them from oldest to the youngest and even the mothers name.
Engracia (Gracia) Dominguez — an actress he met during a stage show (separated in 1963), six children: Manny (Manny Boy), Salud (Sahlee), Rodolfo Jr. (Dolphy Jr.), Freddie (Baby), Edgar, and Raul (Rolly).
Dolphy became famous for playing gay roles in Jack en Jill and Facifica Falayfay. I remember watching these movies on my younger years. His acting was so convincing as a real gay.
Gloria Smith — an actress he met in 1956, four children: Mariquita (Kaye), Carlos, Geraldino (Dino), and Edwin.
Baby Smith - an actress whose screen name was Pamela Ponti, four children: Ronaldo (Ronnie), Enrico (Eric), Madonna (Dana), and Jeffrey (Epi).
Evangeline Tugalao - a nurse he met in the late 60s while shooting in a hospital, one child: Rommel.
Alma Moreno - an actress he met in 1981, one child: Vandolph.
Zsa Zsa Padilla- with whom he has two daughters: Nicole (adopted) and Zia. (wikipedia)

I grew up watching his popular tv show "John and Marsha" with Nida Blanca, playing ashis wife, Maricel Soriano and Rollie Quizon as his children. And of course the show is not complete without the super rich Mother in Law, Dely Atay Atayan were money can be found scattered all over her houseare all trash and who would ever forget her one liner "Kaya ikaw John, magsumikap ka" at the end of every show.
Home Along the Riles, was a hit show too wherein Claudine Barreto played as one of her children. He played a widow here with a Sister in law that is madly in love with him.

Consider me as versatile, frugal, innovative and creative.
How did you get into blogging?
In the last quarter of 2009, I was searching the web for some ideas and advices on how get a better job (with higher salary) when I discovered 'personal branding', which suggests that if want to be paid higher, you must know how to market yourself – your values, competencies and skills.
To market yourself means to apply the principle of marketing on managing your career, and one of the suggestions of the experts is to engage on social media and start blogging as one of the tools.
I formally started blogging in July 2010 and have created many blogs as effect of my excitement. When I found my niche and discovered that I can also earn extra income from my blogs after few months of hopping from one blogging platform to another and writing anything and everything under the sun which I felt good talking about, I settled at Blogger.com (blogspot). Since then, blogging become both my extra income generating hobby and career management tool.
Describe your blog/ Tell us about your blog.
The Creativity Window is a blog and portfolio. One of the topics under this category that find to be more interesting is the window display.
This blog also offers bonus visual arts resources about home and office decoration, arts and crafts for kids, visual aids ideas for teachers and other enjoyable creative stuffs for everyone.
What is your inspiration for blogging?
My love on visual arts is my major inspiration. I love to create some new that is both beautiful and beneficial, and whenever I discover or learn something new (for me), I share it on my blog to serve as inspiration to others.
Advice/tip you can give to new bloggers to succeed in blogging.
I only have 1 tip. Follow the footsteps of real successful bloggers.

Filipino Bloggers Worldwide
Where every Filipino Bloggers from different corners of the World meet virtually for Networking Purposes.
Designed by: Jyppe A. Quidores of www.the-creativity-window.com
How did the designer came up with the winning Logo design, here is his explanation:
As far as I understand, the ultimate goal of the Filipino Bloggers Worldwide (FBW) is:
To provide a place where every Filipino bloggers from the different corners of the world can have a virtual meet up for networking purposes; wherein, regardless of what niche they belong, they can share their valuable contents and help other Filipino bloggers achieve their respective vision, mission and goals.
Putting this idea into a compact visual representation, a logo, we need some symbols to represent the individual parts without destroying the whole thought of the objective.
» SYMBOLISM
Before we can pick representing symbols, we need to identify first some keywords, which are NETWORKING, FILIPINO, WORLDWIDE, and UNITY.
Here are the symbols being used in the logo:
Network Symbol. The original symbol of 'network' is a dot with three curve line above in a progressive length. This is being used because bloggers, generally speaking, only get connected through internet. This serves as an avenue for an online networking and a portal for offline networking.
World. Representing the vast coverage of Filipino presence, both online and offline.
Script Style Font. The continuity of the font style represents unity among Filipino bloggers.
Salakot. Perhaps, everyone of us knows that it is one of the well-known symbol for 'Filipino". Even before umbrella become known to Filipinos, salakot is used for the same purpose. It is place on the top portion of the logo to illustrate that the FBW is like a 'home' for Filipino bloggers.
» THE COLOR
As part of branding, 'science fiction blue' is the name of the logo's color. It is one of the futuristic colors. This color is selected because it represents the digital and virtual world and the unfathomable ideas and creativity of every Filipino bloggers. Its RBG value is 13,33, 119 or #0D2177.
» USABILITY OF THE DESIGN
The ENTRY No. 009 is designed with consideration to it's flexibility and usability.
The logo can be used for the following purposes while having the same identity :
1. Blog Header. The imblem can be 70x70px and the whole banner is best at 500px width, as shown in the illustration.
2. FB Groug Cover Image. The logo with Filipino Bloggers Worldwide wording can be used for both cover image and blog banner.
3. Profile Image. The logo is a combination of both fine and bold elements, which make it pleasing for large and small sizes.
4. Faavicon. The logo is still recognizable at the minimum of 16x16px, favicon size.
5. Avatar. It is also suitable for a 50x50px avatar.
6. Printed Materials. The logo is still crisp at minimum of 1.5X1.5cm, the common size of a logo on a business card. Since it is monochromatic, it is easily printed in any color.
7. Stamp. We don't know how far FBW can go, but we look forward that this will become bigger which the organization will even need stamp.
8. Color Conversion. In event the the logo is used in darker backgrounds, the whole logo can be easily converted into white.
